Mission: To help children thrive and families flourish through innovative, community- based programs.
Hephzibah Children’s Association is Oak Park’s oldest social service agency, founded in 1897. We help more than 1,000 children and families each year through programs including group homes, foster care, and award-winning day care.
Hephzibah provides a home for children who have been taken from their families due to profound abuse or neglect. Our diagnostic and therapeutic group home is recognized as one of the top facilities in Illinois. Children here are cherished and given a chance to restart their lives with the acceptance, guidance, and compassion they need.
Our skilled staff recruits and trains foster parents, and offers ongoing support to help all family members navigate challenges. We also assist in adoption services, respite care, and family reunification plans. Each summer a sibling camp, made possible through generous donations, brings together siblings who have been separated by family circumstance.
Our after-school day care operates on a sliding scale to serve working parents in Oak Park, with programs based at each elementary school. Here children find consistent, loving adults to assist with homework, plan activities and crafts, and create a community among other local families.
Hephzibah is non-profit and non-denominational, dedicated to helping children thrive and families flourish. Go to www.hephzibahhome.org to learn how you can join our efforts.
